The proposed abolition of some of the property tax benefits enjoyed by those with holiday lets has been suspended due to the general election.
Some of the assorted property tax relieves available to Landlords with holiday let properties were to be withdrawn,. These proposals were abandoned in the Governments push to finalise the Finance Act before the dissolution of Parliament for the general election. Sources say that the Shadow Chancellor refused to support the proposed abolition of the property tax benefits available to Holiday Let Landlords. This lack of support resulted in the Government retracting the proposed changes. This situation could change dependent on the out of the election.
